A free, one-day workshop facilitated by nashid
Saturday, October 10th, 2026
10:00am-4:00pm
@ Jerusalem Farm
520 Garfield Avenue, KCMO 64124
Although Mohandas K. Gandhi is well known for his protest activities, less (dare I say, not enough) attention is given to a major aspect of his work: his Constructive Program. In his eyes, it wasn't enough to merely stand against injustice but to also engage in intentional activities that build the independent, just society he strove to realize. And his embrace of these activities spanned the breadth of his activist years.
This interactive workshop will present components of Gandhi's Constructive Program and explore their relevance to the historical realities he faced. An explicit intention of this workshop is encourage participants to consider the principles underlying this Program and utilize them to implement and deepen constructive elements in present community and organizing efforts as well as our personal lives.
A free vegetarian lunch will be provided.
Limited seats available, so please register early!
